Taco Casserole

Layer the following ingredients in a 1-1/2 quart casserole dish: important use half of the ingredients listed below for the first layer and the other half for the second layer.

1/2 bag of crumbled corn or taco chips

1 can (25 ounces) Hormel chili with beans

1 can (16 ounces) stewed tomatoes

8 ounces shredded cheddar cheese


Use half of the corn chips, chili, tomatoes, and cheese for the first layer; repeat order for the second layer. On the top of the second layer of cheese crumble some additional corn chips and sprinkle on top for decoration. Heat until warmed through and cheese on top is melted, at 350 degrees for approximately 30 minutes.

*I often buy the large taco shell bowls and line them with large pieces of lettuce, then spoon in some of the taco casserole to make a warm taco salad.
