Sausage Breakfast Casserole

1 pound sausage

6 slices white bread (trim crust)

softened butter

1-1/2 cups shredded Longhorn cheese

5 eggs

2 cups half and half

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon dry mustard

Cook sausage stirring to crumble.  Drain and set aside.  Spread each slice of bread with butter, cut into cubes.  Place bread cubes in a 9X13 baking dish, sprinkle with sausage and top with cheese.  Combine remaining ingredients, beat well and pour over mixture in pan.  Chill at least 8 hours.  Bake at 350 degrees for 40-50 minutes.
