Bran Muffins

3 cups sugar
4 eggs

2 cups Kellogg's All Bran

4 cups Kellogg's All Bran Buds

5 cups flour

1 teaspoon salt

5 teaspoons soda

1 cup shortening

1 quart buttermilk

Pour 2 cups boiling water over All Bran and All Bran Buds and cool to lukewarm. Add rest of ingredients except buttermilk and soda. Then add the soda and buttermilk and combine together and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. * You can also put batter in a loaf pan and bake for 1 hour. * You may also place remaining batter in refrigerator for up to 3 weeks and use whenever.
