Sugar Cookies

1 cup margarine
1 cup oil
1 cup powdered sugar
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs

Mix these ingredients together.

4 cups flour
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla

Gradually add to top set of ingredients. Drop cookie dough by teaspoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet.

Dip a drinking glass in water then in granulated sugar. This does not need to be done with every cookie, otherwise cookies will become too wet.  I usually just dip it in water once then sugar will stick to the glass for the rest of the entire cookie batch. Then press cookie dough down and flatten with the glass bottom. At Christmastime you could use colored sugars (red and green). Bake cookies in a 350 degree oven for 10-12 minutes.
