Sour Cream Sugar Cookies

Cream together:
1 cup sour cream
1 cup sugar
1 cup margarine
2 eggs

4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla

Blend well and chill dough for 2 hours or overnight. Roll out and cut into shapes. Bake at 350 degrees till lightly browned (about 10 minutes). Decorate with Cookie Frosting.

Cookie Frosting:
2 1/3 cups powdered sugar
2 Tablespoons milk
1/4 cup almond extract
Red or green food color
About 1/3 cup powdered sugar

Mix 2-1/3 cups powdered sugar, milk, and almond extract. Tint half of the mixture with 4 or 5 drops food color. Add additional milk, a few drops at a time, if necessary for frosting consistency.
